It does have little issues here and there but nothing major. I just used it for the first time and I cannot imagine writing essays without it.

Upon creating an account, the application attempts to connect to www.1gai.cn. It then sends whatever password you picked over plain text to China. This appears to be a very high risk application.

usually im a little lazy writing reviews, even for apps i really like. But this app i have to say is exceptional. truly — bravo!

I love the idea but it doesn’t work. I tried this out with a statement I wrote. None of the suggestions were good. Many of the suggestions changed the meaning of the sentence entirely. Beware non-native english speakers! The suggestions are not all good english!

Im always using it

The effort necessary to shift text around for small jobs (like emails or software reviews) makes this a bit cumbersome on that front. However, if you’re writing a lengthy document it can certainly make you look 3x - 5x smarter than you actually are :) Would be better (I think) if it was also available as a menu bar flyout that you could paste the text into without having to open the whole application.

Although its review is not perfect it is still very helpful in finding small mistakes. It saves me a lot of time.

If you need your essays or assignments quickly edited and brushed then this app is perfect.

Read terms of agreement. The service is governed by China. I deleted the app because of the governing by China and it uses Vurtual Memory. I never tried the actual app with text so I do not know how it works.

I have used 1Checker ever since it was on Beta Stage. This one of the best Software to check for mistakes, and if you are a college student, it will make your life easier.

I downloaded this app to try and get a better grammar check for my email. I pasted my text into the box and hit the review button. The suggestions made my text worse and when I reviewd the same text again after accepting all the changes, the app didn’t even like the changes it suggested previously. Don’t botther with this.

I tried this app but it is giving me British English grammar not American English grammar. This app should have a description stating it is not for Americans.

This app is the best app ever, cause it actually checks your grammar. Usually all these type of applications don’t even check your gramm, which can get very annoying.

Despite the developers claim on their About Us web page that "We are a University of Cambridge spin-out", this application was clearly created by non-native English speakers for non-native English speakers. The company is based out of Zhejiang, China. (If you run a WHOIS check on their website, youre likely to come up with nothing using their DNS address. Instead use their source IP address, which is 42.121.128.165). Since this is a web service run through an application, its important to keep in mind that text you submit into the application is passing through the Internet In-The-Clear (no encryption) and that it is specifically being sent to China. As such, I cannot recommend using their service for anything but innocuous text. By no means ever use the service for professional, important, private, copyrighted or patent applicable text. This is critical! Hopefully I dont have to explain why. The quality of results from the service are NOT of professional quality. They are far better than many grammar checkers Ive used! Thats commendable. They are far better than average ChingLish text! Thats commendable. As such, this can be a very useful service, depending upon your expectations. But again, do NOT expect professional quality results. I provide some examples below, taken from their About Us web page. My comments are provided in brackets: - "We are a University of Cambridge spin-out, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies. [Remove the comma.] - "We are not a big team, at least not yet, but we want to deliver automated proofreading service differently:" [The correct word would be services, not service. The sentence is also incoherent with no connecting cause and effect.] - "Frankly speaking, no grammar checker on the market previously is worth your money." [This sentence has bad syntax. Here is less confusing syntax: "no grammar checker previously on the market is worth your money"] - "It is beyond our imagination that some grammar checkers only update once or twice a year." [This sentence approaches incoherence. Replace that with why.] Summary: If the developers cant use their 1Checker service to provide them with perfect grammar, you cant either. The service is better than nothing and is much better than many other grammar checkers I have used. Remember to never use this service for professional purposes or for words you wish to keep private, confidential or proprietary. Promise me!

It is so helpful, helped me double checked my paper. It also catches more mistakes then spellcheck on Word; although there are some things that didn’t need to be fixed you can skip it. Plus it is FREE!!!

Over all I havent been using the program long. The only issue I have right now is certain spellings it sees vs what word See’s Realize vs realise.. Anyone have the same issues.

How did I even use to write papers without this app? TRY IT. It’ll change your life.

this app is bland and offten offers the wrong grammer or wording. as a student there are some words that you can’t use in your paper like alot and big so in my paper i have other words that mean the same thing yet this offers horrible basic words insted this is a good program if your in 3rd grade. you can easily find much better grammer checkers that dont require membership and are quick easy to use and helpful for instance, grammerly, paper rater, and ginger i recomend these sites insted of this. this is easily the worst app i ever downloaded

Installed it - Would not open any saved documents - of no use to me as a game only - trashed it. Too bad!

I really enjoy using this app. It is very helpful when your brain is on overload and you just have to get a crticial document out that could contain grammatical or spelling errors. I would pay for this app! Thanks to the developers for giving us this app to use.
